About
My name is Sandra Mueller and I live in Weimar, a smallish town in the southeast of Germany.
I got my first taste of the internet sometime in the mid-nineties and have since spent most of my life online. Pretty soon I started building websites, not only for myself, but for friends and family as well. My design abilities matured along with the internet itself.
And since I can’t think of anything I’d rather do for a living than design websites, I have decided to become a freelancer as of this year.
In my spare time I am interested in travelling, photography and creative writing. One of my favorite subjects for photos is my dog Jenny, even though she rarely participates willingly in my photo-sessions.
Why do I focus on blogs?
My first blog went online around 1999. I started out using Blogger, but over time tried out several other blogging platforms as well. In 2006 I discovered WordPress and haven’t looked back since.
Blogs are an integral part of the internet nowadays and I am convinced they are here to stay. What’s more, they are evolving in all kinds of interesting directions and in turn drive the evolution of what is considered the standard of the modern web.
Certainly not every business needs a blog, just as not every person needs one either. But the underlying software that powers blogs in not only useful for that one purpose. Blog-software has made the presentation of all kinds of other content a lot easier as well.
I recommend WordPress not only as a blogging software, but as a CMS (Content Management System) for small to medium-sized private and business websites. Compared to many other CMS it is easier to set up and customize, but what’s more important for you as a customer, it is very easy to use, so you can update and maintain your website with minimal investment of time for training.
